Dear Pastors, Family & Friends,

January / February Up-date

ADULTS:

We’ve been in the new work for 18 months now and the walls are beginning to come down. The people are starting to open up a little more. The fellowships before and after services are lasting longer. And real friendships are being formed. Our folks are grasping the (basic) fundamental truths of God’s Word. What salvation is, what it isn’t; what is eternal security; Heaven & Hell; the Bible; scriptural baptism; prayer, all the things that we take for granted many simply do not know. So we’ve been busy with foundational work. And it’s working. It is exciting to see spiritual growth and even spiritual struggles. Simply learning to trust God and His Word.

So, it will be exciting to see what the Lord does in this New Year.

YOUTH:

January proved to be a great start for the New Year with one soul saved to date. We saw a 17yr. old boy saved in our first youth activity of the year. With two other young people acknowledging a need for salvation. Lord willing they will be saved soon.

LADIES MINISTRY:

My wife is also seeing spiritual growth among her ladies. Again, just those basic truths from God’s Word. Understanding that prayer really works.

VISITORS:

The New Year has brought out new visitors. We’ve had visitors for ever AM service to-date. Pray that our follow-up would be profitable!

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please continue to pray for souls to be saved and spiritual growth for our people. Pray for Jeremy & Jennifer Witte as they continue to raise their support. We are looking forward to their coming.  Pray for our Faith Promise Mission Conference in April of this year.

Thanks Again, for the many prayers and your financial support of us and this ministry.

P.S. With the rising cost of stamps some have allowed us to send our updates via e-mail, if this will work for you, please let us know. We are also looking at sending updates every other month.

Dear Pastors, Family & Friends,

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; (2 Corinthians 4:1)

YEAR IN VIEW

We have completed our first full year with the new work and God truly has blessed. From those first meetings in the conference rooms of a motel to owning a 15,000 sq. foot church building has been a wonderful blessing.

We thank the Lord for all those special offerings that came in that made this move possible. As I think about the possibilities for this New Year I can’t help but think that God has so much more to do in us and through us.

To date we are holding both (am) and (pm) services on Sunday along with a mid-week prayer meeting. We are also holding monthly youth meetings for the young people and the ladies meet for a study each month too. We also have men’s prayer breakfast each quarter. Our average Sunday (am) attendance is from 25 to 30 folks. 2004 brought many decisions for Christ with 6 people receiving believers baptism.

We are also thankful for the opportunity we had to encourage a work 90 miles north of us. It was a Fellowship work that wanted to come out and be Independent. We praise the Lord for their step of faith and decision.

Just before the New Year they called a good brother to take the work and continue on.  There is the possibility for another church to do the same. They too are discouraged by ecumenical direction of their Fellowship.

 PRAYER REQUESTS

Pray for a couple that has been coming for a few months. (Henry & Sue)

They initially came so their grand-children could attend Children’s Church, but the walls are slowly coming down and they are attending faithfully.

Both have a profession of faith (???). So please pray that they will get it settled and get in.

We have another family coming. (Willem & Shelly) They too, have become very faithful. Lord willing we will see them make a move soon.

Pray for the Witte’s as they continue to raise their support. We are looking forward to their coming.

And lastly pray for me. I believe that God is growing a preacher while He is growing His Church.

Thanks Again, for the many prayers and your financial support of us and this ministry.

Subject: Timmins Update

Here is the latest from Timmins.

We had a youth night last night that went extremely well.

We had the new Pastor (Chris Ragoth) from Kapuskasing  and his youth group down.

Along with another Pastor from Cochrane and his youth.

Our total attendance was 39 with a 17 year young man receiving Christ as personal Saviour.

This has started the wheels to turning. It would be a blessing to see God do something for the youth in the north. Please pray for us concerning this matter. (Youth Conference)
