 Dear Friends,

 I apologize for this update being so late.  I was waiting until I completed my German exams in mid February so I could send the good news that I passed my exams.  During the middle of my exam week I came down with a virus that stopped me in my tracks.  After spending two weeks in bed at home, the doctor sent me to the hospital.  The doctors determined I had severe pneumonia in my right lung which was also causing blood levels in my liver to be abnormal.  After a week in the hospital, I am now back at home with a long recovery schedule.  I now understand why most Austrians go south for a vacation about this time of year. 

 Please pray for our entire team of 12 family members as each one of us has been sick over the past month or two (and many still are).  Pray that God will bring us all back to 100% strength and health so we can more effectively carry out the work He has called us to do.

 Highlights for us so far this year have been: 

• Our family celebrated our 3^rd anniversary of living in Austria
• We now have 2 teenagers in our home – Emily turned 13 last month!
• I passed my German proficiency exams which allows for continued studies at the university and secures our visas
• I had the opportunity to preach my first sermon in German
• The “A” Team ladies began a women’s Bible study
• Our Persian Bible study is too large for our current format – please pray that God will guide as we make important decisions for the future
